Primary Records was founded in Brooklyn in late 2010 by partners and long time friends Anthony LaMarca and Oren Kessler.

Primary Records is a community run aesthetically driven record label. We use sounds, images and objects to create a uniquely reliable experience (within many unreliable genres of music) for our fans, with the aim of helping to contextualize the musical scope of each of our artists. Our core values are to provide continuous education and knowledge sharing within our community and to aid in long-term artist development and planning.

Current partnering artists range in genre from experimental jazz to alternative rock and most things in between.
